On a slightly more personal note, here’s a little poem from the staff here at Old Golf House Veterinary Group that’s full of handy pet care tips for the festive season.
Whilst we wish you lots of Festive cheer,
We don’t want your pets to be poorly this year,
So please keep the chocolate high up off the floors,
And tinsel away from mischievous paws,
Turkey bones and little tummies don’t mix,
Trust us when we tell you they’re no easy fix!
Whilst it’s fun catching up with family & friends,
Remember that pets sometimes find disruption intense,
So be patient and let your pets have some time out,
Away from the excitement that continues throughout.
New Year’s often comes with Fireworks displays,
But Adaptil plug-ins help, as do their sprays!
And take care with nibbles, especially nuts,
As they can be toxic and cause havoc with guts!
Whilst we all love a Christmas pudding remember,
We see lots of poisoning from dried fruit in December,
Whilst we don’t want this poem to fill you with fear,
We thought you should know of the risks at this time of year,
So enjoy the merriments and the end of 2019,
Merry Christmas from all of the Old Golfhouse Team.
