We have recently teamed up with fintech charity, Pennies, to help us increase our fundraising for our current charity of choice – Pet Blood Bank. We are trialling this new way of fundraising from 15th May 2023.
Our clients will now be able to add a micro-donation when they pay to support the charity Pet Blood Bank, to fund their work and help save the lives of pets in need.
What is Pennies?
Pennies is an award-winning charity that exists to protect and grow micro-donations.
In an increasingly cashless society, the Pennies digital donation option offers our clients an opportunity to make a voluntary micro-donation to charity when they pay for services and products at the practice by card or digital wallet. It is a convenient, discrete, and affordable way to donate, with 100% of funds raised going to charity. The choice to donate is entirely at our clients’ discretion.
Pennies collects the funds raised and grants them to our current chosen charity partner – Pet Blood Bank.
In the 12 years since launch, Pennies has enabled more than 172 million micro-donations, raising millions of pounds in much-needed additional income for charities in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Together, payment providers, retailers and their clients are helping hundreds of charities make a meaningful difference to the causes and communities they serve.

Our Charity of Choice – Pet Blood Bank
Pet Blood Bank is just like the human blood service, but for dogs.
The charity collects blood donations from donor dogs across the UK which then go towards helping to save the lives of other dogs in need. Every donation a dog gives can help to save the lives of up to four other dogs.
All vets across the UK have access to the lifesaving blood should they ever need it for a dog, so it really is a vital service.
Fundraising money helps to support the blood bank while also funding additional activities including free training and education for vets, free blood for veterinary charities, and subsidising the cost of blood products to make them more accessible.
Supporting Pet Blood Bank through Pennies micro-donations
We are excited to partner with Pennies to offer our clients this new way of supporting our current charity of choice – Pet Blood Bank.
